Mandaeism did not reach us because it was the easiest path.
It reached us because it was the truest one.
Across centuries, our ancestors protected the faith while facing exile, fear, and dispersion. Yet they never allowed the Light to fade. Today, as we live across the countries of the diaspora, the great question becomes ours: Will we preserve what we received, and will we succeed in passing it forward?
Survival in our time is no longer about geography — it is about awareness. It lives in hearts that know their identity, in families that teach pride in heritage, in institutions built on service, and in young people who understand that the future belongs to them — and depends on them.
Our sons and daughters achieve success in universities, medicine, engineering, business, and every field of life. But the greatest success of all is to know who you are, where you come from, and what Light you carry within you. Without identity, direction is lost. Without continuity, memory fades.
Mandaeism remained alive because every generation chose responsibility. No one waited for others to do the work. That is how the Light endured — and that is how it will endure again.
To our youth we say:
You are not only the future of the community — you are its present strength. Your participation, your learning, your support of your institutions, and your presence in your manda are what shape tomorrow.
To our families we say:
Plant love for Mandaeism in the heart, for love is the strongest protection.
This trust reached us pure. It is our duty to pass it on even brighter.
Let us remain together, so Mandaeism remains.
